Is Your School Registered with Yoga Alliance?

Yes, we're a certified 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training.

Is prior yoga teacher training required?

No. Prior yoga teacher training is not required. This is the first level of a yoga teacher training program known as a 200 hour level training program. Although many participants fully intend to teach yoga after the program is over many students take this training primarily to deepen their own knowledge and understanding this transformational path.

How much of the training is physically doing yoga?

The training is designed to be a dynamic mix of practicing yoga, studying yoga and practice teaching. This study and practice combines both theory and experiential components to facilitate learning on all levels. Expect to take an asana class every day. In addition, students will work with the poses to explore principles of alignment and assist with both verbal and physical adjustments. Students in the training are encouraged to take the modifications they need to develop healthy alignment and safety in their poses. The principle of ahimsa (non-harming) is encouraged and students should rest if fatigued.

As this format is very intensive, is there any makeup provision or what is the policy on any missed class in emergency situations?

Students are required to attend all sessions. In the case of an emergency or illness we will do our best to work with you. A limited amount of home study hours or in class asana hours may be applied to make up missed hours.

How intense is this training? Is it life changing?

Every student has their own experience with the level of intensity and transformation that occurs. Personally speaking yoga and yoga teacher training in particular had and continues to have a profoundly positive impact on my life and my ability to be present, dive deeper into the Self and experience more freedom and joy in my daily life.
